Wild Wood Play Area

Todds Nursery supplied and installed mature specimen trees for the Wild Wood play landscape at Waterbeach New Town, one of Urban&Civic’s strategic developments in Cambridgeshire. The project required the coordination, delivery and installation of some of the largest containerised trees supplied to a landscape project in Europe.

Scope of Works

  • Supply of 170+ mature specimen trees
  • Trees ranging up to 24 metres in height
  • Specialist logistics planning and transport
  • On-site installation of the largest specimens using Todds’ own team and equipment
  • Coordination with landscape contractors and project teams to maintain programme certainty

Strategic Impact

Following the successful delivery of this project, Todds Nursery has continued to support Urban&Civic’s development portfolio, supplying over 800 British-grown mature trees and 30,000+ transplants and shrubs across multiple sites. The partnership has also led to the allocation of 50 acres of contract-grown tree production dedicated to Urban&Civic developments.
