Clear Lake Landscape

Todds Nursery was commissioned by the Royal Horticultural Society to resolve complex logistical challenges associated with importing and maintaining high-value tree stock for the Clear Lake landscape scheme at RHS Garden Wisley.

The project required the coordination of international tree importation, specialist nursery care and phased installation following construction delays on site.

Scope of Works

  • Coordination of customs clearance and import logistics for tree stock from Germany
  • Receipt and containerisation of rootballed trees within a dedicated nursery production area
  • Maintenance and monitoring of trees ranging from 2m multi-stems to 9.5 tonne mature specimens
  • Individual tagging and traceability of all stock
  • Phased delivery and installation aligned with the revised construction programme

  • Protected high-value tree stock during programme delays
  • Maintained tree health through specialist containerisation using Air-Pot systems
  • Delivered full end-to-end project coordination, including import, nursery care, logistics and installation
